Huhu..
Thanks for the welcomes & advices..

Battery replaced... Lights, Water, Oils were done in Ipoh before i brought it back to Malacca... (if not, tak sampai bro...  :D  )
Will definitely do the loose long shaft and service the axles, so as the starter, alternator, plugs and belt.
Next will be the brakes and steering..
And other accs will come later... Winch, Spotlights, Cabin lights..

There is a spoilt Turbo Timer and Reverse Camera, might throw that away.

Hehe..
Bro kgb and jb; SELL? Haha...

being responsible, our job is to give a stern warning, the rest is up to you, quiet obviously, you are a strong believer that Jeep advantages will overshadow its shortcomings. Lets hope this is the case, just remember, before buying a winch or a set of offroad tyres, makes sure you buy some spare parts, fix all the common weak spots and address Jeep common problems with the vehicle and buy tools for your car before anything else, otherwise, no one will be in the position to help you.

Right
1. Spoilt turbo timer  and no turbo means the wiring has been hacked into - in  a HEEP this can be BAD news.
2. CHeck how many wires hanging direct from the battery - indication of potential problems.
3. Check the dreaded serpitine BELT is NEW and KNOW how to FIT one and carry spares in case one lets GO as YOUR vehicle is DEAD very ASAP once DEAD.
4. SPOT lights no need if you have good headlight setup and just WASTE batteries etc.
5. Steering box issue with HEEPS are well known research and fix.

you can haha me anytime im not the one driving the XJ - but I did own one from NEW and there was a reason it was sold and the answer is TOYOTA.

Bro kgb and jb..
thanks for the advices.. will definitely keep that in mind.
U guys know best..
my haha brought me more advices.. hehe..  :thumbs_up Thanks sifus!!

BTW, the JEEP comes with Winch, Centipede and spotlights already.. What i meant was to service the winch, check all the lights and buy myself another set of MT for light use.

yeah... The Serpentine Belt is a definite change for sure.

The fact that the wires been tampered shook me a little.. Will have a quick look under the hood after work.

Might throw those away i guess...

Bro JB,
Winch is WARN XD9000... tested but sounded a bit rough at No Load spooling. That's y plan for servicing.

ORS..
I am no more working in Malacca,
New job at Kinrara, Puchong and currently staying in Putrajaya.
Jeep is now with new shoes Silverstone MT-117 Sport. The XT Centipede is kept at store, waiting for new rims (and money to buy rims :) ).

Just last week started to hear something rough (rotating) believed to be coming from front drive shaft.

BTW,
I found out that the front drive shaft is rotating even in 2WD. But when i jacked, the front wheels are free. Is it normal? any 1?
